Work Permit information for China applicants
Canadian work permit options — LMIA-based or LMIA-exempt under the International Mobility Program.

China-specific factors IRCC considers
- Police certificate (无犯罪记录证明) from local Public Security Bureau; must be notarized and apostilled (China joined the Apostille Convention November 2023).
- Hukou and household registration documents required for many applications.
- Notarized translations from a Chinese Notary Public Office (公证处).
- China does not permit dual citizenship — naturalization requires renouncing PRC nationality.
- Foreign-exchange caps ($50K USD/yr/person) complicate large proof-of-funds transfers.
Police certificate from China
Police clearance from local PSB — notarized + apostilled (since China's accession to the Apostille Convention in Nov 2023, no consular legalization needed).
ECA / credential evaluation
WES, ICAS, IQAS all accept Chinese credentials. Sealed transcripts must come from the Ministry of Education or an authorized verification body (CHESICC).
